Oolloo Farm Management

Oolloo Farm Management is part of OneHarvest’s solution to increasing supply of high quality produce to meet growing consumer demand.  Long term partnerships with independent growers play an important role in the supply of products into the OneHarvest supply chain.  Oolloo Farms was established to bolster this supply by expanding production in key growing regions across the country.

Primarily focused on expanding Calypso™ mango supply, Oolloo has also ventured into the production of baby leaf and whole head lettuce.

The site specific selection of farming properties is based on a number of key factors that will enable Oolloo to meet its goal of sustainable, efficient and low cost farming operations.  From seedling through to shelf, team members bring experience and technical expertise in horticultural growing practices, project delivery and operational efficiency.

Production of Calypso™ mangoes in the Northern Territory and north Queensland was a strategic decision.  Horticulture in northern Australia has a significant place in the future for both domestic and export supply.  The growing conditions are ideal for production of high quality mangoes that meet consumer demands.
Calypso™ trees are consistent in their annual flowering and even young trees bear good yields and high quality fruit; attributes that have made this variety appealing to growers.
Recognised by their high blush and golden hue when ripe and ready to eat, Calypso™ mangoes have found their place on the shelf.  Production of this variety is driven by a strong marketing and sales program and supported by R&D projects in the areas of agronomics and post-harvest handling.
Oolloo is the name of the acquifer that sits underneath some of the most productive mango land in Australia.
Water is the lifeblood of primary production, so it only seemed fit to call this new farming enterprise Oolloo.
